A ferry (ing) we go...

We were picked up in a private ferry (bit spesh), just like a taxi, and taken
to see the islands of Burano, Murano & Torcello.
The sights along the way were pretty spectacular I must say.
Murano, where the glass is blown and made into wonderful pieces.
The artists doing their thing!

The island of Burano, which is known for its colourful homes, and the hand made lace work.
You can still see little ladies sitting for hours on end sewing intricate & delicate lace pieces.
Fritto misto, or, the Burano version of fishermans basket was sooooo yummy...

NOW THIS is the way to keep the energy level up for all the sight seeing!
Bellini, which is an italian specialty, made of white wine/champagne and peach juice.
You go girl!
And then there's the ancient mosaic artwork to gawk and marvel at.
