Exploring beautiful towns...

The details of the door to Basilica Cateriniana church in Sienna.

The unfinished walls are of a church extension that was started lots & lots of years
ago and obviously, never completed.
Just standing there as art of a sorts, and a reminder.
You can climb to the top. You can see people in the photo.
Not for me.
Tad too high...
Our first view of "the town" of Sienna.
Breathtakingly beautiful.
Just want to stand, take it all in, and sigh...

Fantastic scenery in the background, so of course we had to take a photo,.
Lots of religious artifacts and offerings in unexpected places.
Washing or art? In the eye of the photographer.
Teeny tiny sculptures of horses as they would look at the famous race in Sienna.
