It's fantastic to have a good relationship with your kids, however, we need to remember that we are the parents. Hopefully they have good friends, they need us to be there as parents, and all that comes with being a parent. It has become easier as my kids have become adults, and I have more experience. It wasn't easy making decisions that they didn't agree with as teenagers, but we got through it ok. They make good decisions most of the time, and they respect the family around them. What more could I ask for?...
