Angel journal...

Feeling better today, so decided to get busy and make a sample for a future class.
The class will be for an art journal, called Angel Journal. I will demonstrate how to make the journal, from the fabric cover, to paper pages and inserts, and how to hand bind it together.
I will post photos and info for the class when I am done, and have organised the dates.
It will be held at A Scrappe Angels Heaven,  my local scrapbooking store in Werribee.

In the meantime, here are some photos of a journal that I put together for a trip my hubby and I took to Vietnam last year for our 25th anniversary.
I usually take a journal with me, along with a few items to add to it such as glue, coloured pens, bits of scrapbooking paper, rubons etc.
These items are added along with bits and pieces I pick up on the trip.
These may include printed serviettes from restaurants, luggage and airplane tags, entry tickets, cocktail umbrellas and anything else that catches my eye.

The fabric that I've used on the front of the journal, is silk that I picked up in Vietnam, on another trip.
It suits the feel of the journal really well, and the colours are so joyful and remind me so much of the country.

  1. Oh wow, that's gorgeous. Definitely let me know when the class is on. Maybe I can convince CurlyPops to come along and do the class with me.

I love Scrappe Angels Heaven. It's the best scrapbooking shop I've ever seen. I buy lots of great mixed-media supplies there.
